Checkmate Survivor is a top-down bullet heaven game where you control the King on a chessboard where all the other pieces rebel against the King's tyranny. Your mission is to defeat enemy pieces, such as pawns, knights, rooks, and queens, using weapon upgrades, movement, build management, and positioning to face the enemies. Each enemy piece has distinct movement and attack patterns, challenging the player to use tactics and speed to survive and advance.

Checkmate Survivors is a action game, developed by RainForest Game Studio and published by y-zo studio.
Trophy-wise, you are looking at an Easy completion. The estimated time to platinum is around 20 minutes.
Because it is a cross-buy and cross-save game, you should play the PS4 version of it first.
Play the game normally and most of the trophies should unlock naturally. You will probably need to complete at least 2 sessions over wave 10 to unlock most of the trophies.
Just make sure to collect a heart in any session.
Every time you finish a wave, you will be able to choose an upgrade. You will need to choose all upgrades at least once. In case you do not have a new upgrade, use reroll.
After finishing a playthrough, you can spend your coins in the shop.
You will need to buy at least once each permanent upgrade, and max out any permanent upgrade, which means upgrading it to level 3. This is a total of 3300 coins. You will need to collect 4096 coins in total anyway.
After obtaining the platinum, quit the game, open the PS5 version, go to settings, and use the cross-save option to import your PS4 save into the PS5 game, and obtain a new platinum.
The game also has cross-save across all regions.
