In terms of trophies, it is an easy game which can be completed in around 2 hours:
Before starting the game go to options and change the difficulty to easy and enable the auto fire.
Level 1 or Level 2 - Make sure to finish the level without getting hit
Level 2 - Play it for 3 more time, and each time die at the boss fight
Level 4 - You need to destroy 100 enemies by flying into them. In this level there are a lot of enemies coming quickly at you, so it is a particularly good level to attempt this trophy here. Also, by dying quickly you will also unlock the trophy for dying in the first 15 seconds. So, keep repeating this level until you get the 2 trophies.
Now that you got the miscellaneous trophies out of the way you can focus on completing the game. After each level, make sure to visit the hangar and upgrade your plane.
I completed the game with a little bit over 5000 kills, so after you finish the game, you will have to play half of the levels again to get the remaining kills to reach 7500 kills.
